Tuscany Supercar Tour

Six nights of supercar driving through Tuscany in a guided convoy, with the price quoted on application.

Florence is the start, with an insider walking tour before the keys are handed over. The route then leaves the city northwards through Chianti, climbing into the hills and circling back towards Siena, where the first night is spent at a property restored from the eighth century, which is not a sentence many itineraries can offer.

The days that follow run through the vineyards and the hilltop towns around Siena, with a medieval hamlet turned five-star hotel and a tenth-century castle among the places stayed in. Volterra and San Gimignano come next, the second with its towers still standing, then a historic vineyard for a tasting and a truffle hunt, which is done with a dog and is a good deal more interesting than it sounds. A light supper closes the week before a leisurely final morning.

Access to a rotating fleet of current supercars for three or more driving days is included, along with the accommodation throughout, the Florence tour, the winery visits and tastings, the truffle hunt and the transfers; international flights are not, and the price is given on application. Seven days with this much time out of the car is a touring holiday rather than a driving event. Tuscan hill roads suit the cars better than any autostrada would, and spring and autumn are the seasons, since August brings heat and traffic in equal measure. The truffle hunt and the castle nights are what separate this from a conventional supercar trip.
