Namibia-Botswana Camping Based Self Drive Adventure
Visit the San Bushmen of the Kalahari, then drive remote riverbeds through canyons where game roams without fences, before the world’s highest free-standing dunes on the Skeleton Coast – thirty nights across Namibia and Botswana.
Tell us your trip details and we'll put together a complimentary Stradora Expedition Pack for the journey.
30 nights through Namibia
Thirty nights across Namibia and Botswana, self-driven with a support vehicle and crew, camping for most of it.
Camping is the distinction and the saving: twenty-four nights under canvas and six in guesthouses, at roughly two thirds the price of the operator’s lodge-based version of the same ground.
Botswana opens the wildlife half, with self-driven game viewing in Moremi, Chobe and the Khwai Conservancy alongside an experienced guide, a sunset cruise on the Chobe River and an overnight visit to Victoria Falls. Namibia follows, beginning with the San of the Kalahari, then Etosha’s salt pan and its waterholes, remote riverbeds driven through canyons where the game moves unfenced, time with Himba families in Kaokoland, and the painted deserts, the Skeleton Coast and the dunes at the end.
The transfers, the 4×4 with a roof or ground tent, bedding, linen and towels, a fridge, water tank, cooking and camping equipment, standard insurance, the cross-border vehicle fees, a two-way radio, the Botswana park fees and guide, the Palmwag and Sossusvlei fees, firewood, the campsites and six hotel nights, the itinerary meals and the support vehicle and crew are all included; airfares, fuel, other meals, visas, park entry elsewhere, the vehicle excess, tips and insurance are not. The price shown is per person sharing. The dry season from May to October is the window. No wildlife sighting can be promised. Community visits depend on the consent of the people concerned and are arranged through local partners. Thirty-one days with a support vehicle alongside is what makes a camping trip of this length workable rather than exhausting.
