4 nights through Spain

Barcelona and the Pyrenees in four nights, which is enough to get from the Mediterranean to a high mountain pass and back without rushing either. Three driving days, and a car delivered to the hotel in the city.

The first drive follows the Costa Brava north, cutting inland through the Massís de Cadiretes to the lighthouse at Cap de Creus, then on to Peralada in wine country. The second is the serious one, crossing the Pyrenees Axis on the N-260 and climbing the Coll d’Envalira, the highest paved pass in the range, into Andorra before dropping to Puigcerdà. The last comes back over the Coll de Port and stops at the abbey of Montserrat, whose serrated ridge is visible from the city on a clear day, before the coast road returns you to Barcelona.

Three nights, three different kinds of place. The METT in Barcelona at either end, the Peralada wine spa in the Empordà vineyards, and the Torre del Remei, a Belle Époque mansion in the Cerdanya valley.

A Porsche 911 GT3 and a Ferrari F8 Spider are the cars offered, which on the N-260 is not an idle choice. You drive alone with a curated route, an eRoadbook and navigation paired to the car, and availability runs all year, though the high pass makes late autumn and winter a question worth asking. It suits anyone with a long weekend who wants more than a city break, and who likes the idea of having breakfast by the Mediterranean and lunch at two thousand metres on the same trip.
