Canada to Yellowstone Motorcycle Tour

Sixteen days of mountains, two countries and arguably the finest sequence of roads in North America. Fifteen nights from Seattle to Salt Lake City, around 2,785 miles, guided throughout, taking in the Canadian Rockies, Glacier, the Beartooth Highway and Yellowstone.

The North Cascades Highway opens it on the way to Winthrop, then the route crosses into British Columbia for the Okanagan wine valley and Kamloops before the Yellowhead Highway and Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, lead to Jasper. What follows is the Icefields Parkway, running south to Banff between walls of glaciated rock and regularly named the most scenic drive in the world.

Then it turns south into Montana. Waterton Lakes and Glacier National Park come first, then Anaconda and the old mining towns of Virginia City and Nevada City on the way to Red Lodge. The Beartooth Highway climbs to nearly 11,000 feet on the ride to Cody, which gets a free day, then Yellowstone fills two days with Mammoth Hot Springs, the Hayden Valley and Old Faithful. Grand Teton, Bear Lake and the Wasatch Mountains close the trip.

EAGLERIDER provides the motorcycle, the tour leader, all fifteen nights and a farewell dinner. Fuel, most meals and insurance are arranged separately. Several days run past 300 miles, which this country justifies. For riders who measure a trip by the number of mountain passes in it, there is nothing else in the range that stacks up this many of the genuinely great ones inside a single fortnight.
