11 nights through Namibia
Twelve days, guided, on a Royal Enfield 410cc or 450cc Himalayan, across southern Namibia’s gravel and desert.
The operator describes Namibia as a land defined by distance, light and silence, and this tour as a motorcycle expedition across vast desert plains, canyon landscapes and some of the most scenic gravel roads in Africa. It covers about 2,303 km on all terrain at a pace the operator describes as rhythm and immersion, with long flowing gravel roads, remote fuel stops and wide horizons. It rates the difficulty as intermediate and says the aim is to cross space rather than conquer terrain.
The route begins in Windhoek and heads south into the Kalahari, where red dunes and open savannah stretch under wide skies. It then goes to the edge of Fish River Canyon, which the operator calls one of the continent’s most powerful geological formations. The route continues west through remote desert to the Atlantic coast and the historic town of Luderitz, where the Namib Desert meets the ocean. Along the way, riders may see oryx, springbok and the wild desert horses near Aus, though sightings are not guaranteed. A highlight is the D707, widely regarded as Namibia’s most beautiful gravel road, which cuts through mountain backdrops and rolling dune fields. The expedition ends at Sossusvlei, where red dunes rise from the desert floor. Evenings are spent in carefully selected lodges and guesthouses, twin-sharing.
The price is per rider, with a lower pillion rate and a single supplement of US$500. It includes the motorcycle, fuel and spares, accommodation, all meals, local and international guides, a support vehicle, crew and mechanic, airport transfers and entrance fees. Flights, visas, insurance and alcohol are extra. Dates are on request, and the FAQ block on the page repeats Sri Lanka licence text, so ask the operator for the Namibia details.
