Tanks 'n' Titz Tour - Wallonia
A weekend built almost entirely around the joke in its own name, a German King Tiger tank and a town literally called Titz – two nights of Belgian back roads for people who don’t take road trips too seriously.
Tell us your trip details and we'll put together a complimentary Stradora Expedition Pack for the journey.
2 nights through Belgium
A three-day weekend into the Belgian Ardennes, built around preserved Second World War armour and a town with an unfortunate name. This is the shortest and cheapest tour the operator runs, and it is explicitly offered as a taster for European touring.
The tanks are genuine and still where they were left. The route takes in a brief stop at the Mons Memorial Museum, then wartime relics scattered through the Ardennes around La Roche, a Panther and a Sherman near Liege, and on the way home a German King Tiger II, sometimes with a military memorabilia market alongside it, plus several Sherman variants. For anyone interested in the Battle of the Bulge, the ground itself is the exhibit.
The town of Titz is in the Rhineland and the photo stop there is the whole joke, which the operator makes no attempt to dress up. There is also an optional look at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, and the Eifel National Park sits on the route between the two nights.
Moto Travel Dude include the return Eurotunnel crossing for rider and bike, two nights of hotel accommodation with private secure parking, all breakfasts, and the routes and information pack. Fuel, insurance, breakdown cover and meals beyond breakfast are separate, and the fuel estimate for the whole weekend is modest compared with their longer trips. For a rider who has never taken their own bike abroad and is not sure they would enjoy it, two nights and a short Channel crossing is a sensible way to find out.
