14 nights through China

Fifteen days, guided, on a Royal Enfield 450cc Himalayan, hosted by Lavi and Ollie, from Kathmandu to Lhasa and Everest Base Camp.

This is the hosted version of the operator’s Tibet tour, with the same route and the same price as the standard departure. It starts in Nepal’s capital and crosses into Tibet to visit Lhasa, which the operator calls the Forbidden City, before heading for the foot of Mount Everest. The route covers about 2,270 km at four to six hours of riding a day on all terrain, and the operator rates it intermediate. Tibet entry permits are part of the price.

In Kathmandu the group explores before riding to the border, visiting Pashupatinath temple, Boudhnath stupa and Swoyambhunath stupa. In Tibet the sights include the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar in Lhasa and the Drepung and Sera monasteries, where monk debates take place. The route continues through Shigatse, Gyantse and Sakya, past Yamdrok Lake and over high passes with views of the Himalayan peaks. It culminates at Rongbuk Monastery, near Everest Base Camp, where the operator says the sunrise and sunset over the world’s highest peak can be seen, and then returns through Kyirong town.

The price is per rider, with a lower pillion rate and a single supplement of US$550. It includes the motorcycle, hotels and guesthouses, all meals, local and international guides, a support vehicle with crew and mechanic, airport transfers, and Tibet entry permits and entrance fees. Flights, the Nepal visa, insurance and alcohol are extra. The only date on the page, 21 September to 5 October 2026, has passed, and enquiries go to a dedicated Lavi and Ollie email address, so ask the operator whether a further hosted departure is planned. The operator lists a maximum of 12 riders.
