10 nights through United Kingdom

Ten nights through England, Wales and Scotland, fully inclusive: the bike, every meal, the fuel, and a support vehicle carrying the luggage. It is the most expensive tour in the operator’s range, and the reason is that nothing is left to pay for once it starts.

A hotel near London opens it, with the welcome dinner in its own pub, then Oxford by way of Winchester Cathedral, which has the longest nave of any Gothic cathedral in Europe, and Stonehenge. Oxford gets a rest day and an optional walking tour of the colleges.

Stratford-upon-Avon follows through the Cotswolds, for Shakespeare’s birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s cottage, then Wales past Tintern Abbey and Raglan Castle into the Brecon Beacons. The route then runs north along what the operator calls the dragon’s spine, which is the best of the Welsh riding, to Bakewell. York comes next with a walking tour of the walled city, Roman and then Viking long before it was English, and the Minster above it all.

The Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District follow, with Beatrix Potter’s house at Hill Top, Wray Castle and a ferry across Windermere, then Scotland through Galloway Forest Park to a hotel on Loch Fyne, and Edinburgh by way of Glen Coe for the farewell dinner. The bike, the hotels, all meals, the fuel, the support vehicle, maps and GPS routes are included. The price is quoted per person. For a rider who wants three countries without planning or paying for anything along the way, this is the one to book.
